Susi kocht / Zwei für jeden Fall

Being one of the first projects during my film studies, this short film was invaluable in terms of practical experience. Each member of our team filled multiple roles during production, with my main focus being that of camera operator. We worked on everything from conceiving the story and writing the script to location management, casting, filming and post production. This project was an important step in improving my range of skills and my work efficiency, on and off location.

Hochschulhorror

The production of this horror short film took place during my master's studies and was our biggest student project yet. My involvement in it started with multiple revisions of the script before, during and after filming. Since most members of our team took on two, if not three, roles during production, I was tasked with writing the story, casting as well as taking care of the talent and working with the director to support them to keep the final film as close to the starting vision as possible. A lot of sleepless nights were spent on this production, providing a great deal of practical knowledge due to my on-hands position as writer and assistant director.

Slasher

Being our first horror movie, this slasher film was an early attempt at more advanced narrative production due to the need for practical effects for which this genre is known. It was an effective introduction to film production in a more laborious genre and was therefore essential in helping me build a thorough understanding of the process underlying film making.

Hey How Are You?

A role I took on due to my connections with other film makers, my time in this production was fundamental in understanding of how different creators work realise their respective visions on screen. It helped extensively in terms of getting to know different methods and mindsets of film production. The film has since garnered praise at multiple festivals around Europe. It also has helped me to strengthen my bond with other creators and to identify potential collaborations in the future.

Spice Up – Die verflucht scharfe Quizshow

The second studio production during our first master's semester was not broadcast live, but was edited simultaneously with recording. Only minor errors were cleaned up in post-production, making this a technically demanding project.

This time we invited more prominent guests in the form of Austrian TikTokers to our studio. I no longer held the position of camera operator, but took care of casting and the organization that came with it. The stress of casting on a limited budget was an experience that differed significantly from all previous productions.

Fake It Till You Make It

Our first major studio production was a live quiz show format. Four guests appeared on camera and had to answer questions and face challenges, until live viewers ultimately decided who they thought was not a real chef.

My position was that of camera operator. But as with all other projects during my bachelor's and master's studies at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, I was able to gain insights into the tasks and responsibilities of other positions in this production.

Remote Jack

Another live show production that was part of our academic work, bringing additional experience in live streaming and show production. This project further developed my understanding of the technical and creative demands of live broadcasting.

Coming Home

A music video project where I was able to cover all important areas of production, from conception and co-direction to camera and sound. This comprehensive involvement gave me a holistic understanding of the music video production process.

In My Living Room

In My Living Room is a music show produced by the Tony Zawinul Foundation. I worked as a production assistant and was able to gain insights into the professional work of camera, direction, sound, and more. This experience exposed me to high-level production standards and workflows.
